About Dr. Ali Habibi, DMD
Growing up without regular access to dental care, Dr. Ali Habibi understands firsthand how a dental visit can feel intimidating. This is especially true for patients who have gone years without treatment. That early experience shaped his lifelong commitment to creating a supportive, judgment-free environment. He ensures every patient feels safe, respected, and cared for.
Dr. Habibi completed his dental training at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. There, he developed advanced clinical skills and a patient-centered philosophy. His approach is rooted in compassion and clear communication. He takes particular pride in helping individuals who struggle with dental anxiety. He uses a calm, steady method to build trust and comfort over time. Whether a patient needs routine care or complex treatment, Dr. Habibi focuses on providing a personalized experience.

We are proud to introduce you to Andy, our expert dental hygienist, whose passion for care and deep local roots make every visit a positive one.
A Path Guided by Passion
Some careers are chosen, while others feel like a natural calling. For Andy, the journey into dentistry was exactly that. While working part-time promoting various medical fields at a local college, he found himself consistently drawn to the dental program, championing it with a genuine enthusiasm. This innate pull toward oral health inspired him to make it his profession, a decision that has benefited countless smiles in our community.
A proud El Paso native and a graduate of Ysleta High School, Andy is deeply connected to the people and places that make our city special. He began his formal education at El Paso Community College before advancing his studies at the University of New Mexico (UNM). Since 1999, he has dedicated his career to improving patients’ oral health. His commitment to providing the best care is also shown through his specialized certifications, including local anesthetic administration, laser treatments, and as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), ensuring every patient receives safe and advanced treatment.
Care Rooted in Compassion
What Andy enjoys most about his work isn’t just about cleaning teeth—it’s about connecting with people. He loves meeting new patients and hearing their unique stories. This focus on relationships is the cornerstone of his patient care philosophy. He understands that a dental visit can be stressful for many, so he leads with empathy and understanding.
His first step is always to listen. By taking the time to understand a patient’s fears and what helps them cope, he builds a foundation of trust and comfort. He wants every patient to feel heard, respected, and completely at ease. His reassuring advice is a simple but powerful message of hope: “It’s never too late, and it’s not the end of the world.” Andy wants everyone to know that no matter the concern, a solution can always be found.
Life Beyond the Office
When he’s not at Southwest Celebrity Smiles, Andy’s world revolves around his family. He cherishes his free time, which is usually spent hanging out with his daughters. He also has a creative side and is currently channeling his love for storytelling into a new hobby: writing a book. For a fun fact that captures his personality, Andy likes to say he’s “a millionaire, minus the millions.”
